MARIAM ALIMI

Afghan photojournalist featured in CBS News, Expressen on murdered journalists (photos at Darakht-e Danesh Library). An International Women’s Media Reclaiming Futures Fellow, she is rebuilding her career after fleeing Afghanistan, working freelance for the Baltimore Banner. Recently interviewed for a new E. Chai Vasarhelyi documentary on risk takers, like her mentor Lynsey Addoria. Her latest photo credit is for the book cover of Arrows of Light, part of a German exhibition on Afghan province, Badakhashan.
